YukiI got Yuki from Contact Point Border Collies at the end of summer 2021. I have wanted a border collie for years, and I am so excited to finally have her! I am thrilled to try lots of dog sports with her in the next few years. She is so smart and is such a fun bundle of energy! Fun fact: her name means "snow" in Japanese!

OliverI hung out with Oliver for a few weeks over summer of 2020, and now he is back for fall semester 2021. We affectionately call him our big ol' blockhead, and he has quite the personality. I am excited to see him work through some of his quirks this fall and see what he can accomplish in the future.

PennyI have worked with Penny quite a bit over the past year! She spent a few weeks with me in the summer of 2020, and then I had the opportunity to work with her for Spring semester and summer 2021. She has an amazing nose, so she is likely headed the diabetic alert direction -- she is doing great!

ChesterChester was the dog I worked with in fall 2019. He is Charlie's brother, although they have very different personalities. Chester was actually the first dog I worked with as an ADEPT intern; I got to handle him for our very first public access! Seeing how far he has come from a seven month old puppy all the way to placement, is really exciting. Chester was placed as a service dog in June of 2020.

CharlieCharlie is the second dog I worked with during my internship with ADEPT. He is a purpose-bred Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever. Charlie was just over a year old when I started working with him, and he is one of the smartest and most motivated dogs I have ever met. Charlie was placed as a service dog in June of 2020.

NeecoI began my internship with ADEPT in the fall of 2018 with Neeco. Fun fact: Neeco is a rescue! During my time with him I focused on polishing the skills he already had since he had already been in the program for a few semesters at that point. After some time searching for the right fit, Neeco was released and has been adopted by one of his previous trainers!

TheoTheo was rescued by New Leash on Life after being thrown into a dumpster in Oklahoma. He came to Wisconsin, and I adopted him on March 11, 2016 when he was somewhere around two years old. In the summer of 2018, Theo and I became a certified Therapy Team through Therapy Dogs International (TDI), and we are hoping to bring smiles to many more faces over the years.

CharlieYou may be wondering, "Didn't I just read this name somewhere?" It seems like dogs named Charlie are just destined to be a part of my life. Fun fact: Theo's name was also Charlie when I first adopted him, but I changed it since we already had a Charlie. This little Pug, Charlie, was my first dog. My family got him when I was six years old, and we were inseparable from day one. We spent every spare moment together from the day he came home until the day he passed away. I still think of him often, and he will always be the dog who started it all.
