Just a really quick little update from the other day! We have been having some beautiful weather the past couple weeks, so I have been trying to spend as much time outside with the dogs as possible, whether that means walking or hanging out in the backyard. This week, I broke out the agility equipment (or at least some of it - getting the weave poles and large stuff out is a bit of a pain). I did a fun little challenge with Theo called the "level up challenge." It was originally created using toilet paper rolls to create jumps for people's dogs in light of all the toilet paper hoarding that was going on. I decided to save the toilet paper for what it was designed for and just used my agility setup. The height of the jumps in the photos above is about what Theo typically jumps when we are messing around, but the challenge is to increase the height until they can't jump any higher. Theo got all the way to the top of the poles! We had a really fun time, and I was really amazed at how athletic Theo is (he has me beat for sure).
I can't say Baxter was as excited about the whole agility thing, but I did get him to step over the jumps at their lowest setting. He mostly just enjoyed chasing Theo and I around while we did a few little courses. It was a great way to get the dogs active and to force myself to get out of the house a bit too in the safest way possible! I hope everyone is doing okay and finding their own safe ways to stay busy. Until next time, stay pawsome!
