![]() I have successfully completed my first couple weeks of spring semester, so I think it is time for an update! I got to spend the first few days of the semester with Chester since we decided to switch teams at our first ADEPT meeting. We went to Culver's for a public access over the weekend (Chester did amazing), and then he got to come to class with me Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. It was really great to get to hang out with him again since I didn't see him over break. I did film a really quick video with some of the fun stuff we did for our last few days together. Last Wednesday night, we switched teams for the new semester. This spring, I am working with Baxter. He is a Labrador Retriever and will be turning two years old on May 5th. This will likely be his last semester on campus, so this summer he will go on to whatever he is meant to do. Our first week together has gone really well together. We spent the first few hours snuggling and getting to know each other and started working on some training stuff over the next few days. Baxter has a great nose, so we have been enjoying doing some diabetic alert work over the past week or so. We have also worked on tugging open doors and drawers and even went on a couple public access trips! If you would like to see what we were up to for our first week together, check out the video on my YouTube channel. I am super excited to continue getting to know him, and I am sure we will have lots of fun stories as the semester goes on. Until next time, stay pawsome!
