![]() I would like to start this blog post off by apologizing for my absence over the past month or so. I have taken a little time off from social media to focus on finals and then spend time with family and friends (furry and not) over winter break. Last week, I was in Florida with my brother and sister getting a break from the bitter Wisconsin cold! I will take a few moments to sum up the end of my semester with Chester before talking about what is to come. Chester continued to excel with getting into vehicles and did great during class and on public access trips. As the weather got colder, we spent a lot more time working on indoor training rather than being outside. Chester also got desensitized to dog booties pretty early in the winter since we had a lot of really cold days! Our last few ADEPT meetings were a blast, and I have missed our group over this break. Chester spent J-term with one of his previous trainers, and I have loved the updates from her; he looks like he is having a great time! We will hopefully be finding out our new teams for spring semester in the next week or so; I will make a post at the beginning of the semester introducing the dog I will be working with. Until then, stay pawsome!
